Brief Bio
I am a computer scientist who is passionate about doing research on biomedical informatics, natural language processing, and machine learning. In particular, I am interested in precision phenomics, open domain and clinical information extraction, and phenome-wide association studies. Before joining the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University, I was involved in research projects in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education at the University of Washington, the Institute for Creative Technologies at the University of Southern California, the Human Language Technology Research Institute at the University of Texas at Dallas, and the Faculty of Computer Science at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania.
